Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Are you currently working as a flat-bed lorry driver?

This is not a ‘multi-drop’ position but involves deliveries between our local workshops and also to some of our key customers.

We are a leading manufacturing company specialising in quality stainless steel fabrication.

If you are a  highly motivated, self-managing and flexible individual with a background in driving then this is a great opportunity for you.

Following a restructure, we are seeking to expand our delivery options and now require another experienced flat-bed lorry driver to join our team in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our parts to our workshops in Bristol and Melksham and also to our key customers. In addition, you will support the team in our Stores department when time allows.

Job Role:

• Safely drive a flat-bed lorry to deliver / collect stainless steel tube and parts. (This is not a multi-drop driving job).
• Secure loads correctly using straps to ensure safety.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with all transport and road safety regulations.
• Plan routes efficiently (with help).
• Assist in the loading and unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collections points.
• Assist in the picking and packing in our Stores.

All training will be given.

£27,500 per annum rising to £29,000 after successful completion of probationary period.

Start date – as soon as possible. (Free on-site parking).
