Wellspring Settlement are seeking a Partnership Development Worker to take a lead role alongside Wellspring Settlement management team to identify and explore ways of collaborating and working in partnerships in the context of services, community buildings and community needs/aspirations;
- support the development and ongoing working relationships with key partner Bristol Somali Resource Centre and other tenants and local community organisations.
- Contribute to the development of the partnership strategy, including identifying key focus areas depending on community intelligence and identified gaps.
- Maximise opportunities for bringing benefit to local communities including through advocacy and influencing; and
- Identify and delivery the mechanisms, systems and policies to make the partnership work in practice.
Contract Term: 17.5 hours per week
Salary: Scale F pts 26-29 £26,340- £29,214 per annum pro rata (successful applicants start at the bottom of the scale)
Holiday: 5 weeks (pro rata) per year plus all bank holidays
Pension: Employees will be enrolled into the workplace pension if eligible.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- To provide strategic support to the management team to establish what Wellspring Settlement wants to achieve from its partnership work.
- To contribute to producing any partnership strategies, working documents or shared plans to this aim.
- Maintain good working relationships with key partner Bristol Somali Resource Centre and other tenants, local organisations and partnership networks to support collaborative networks that strengthen community resilience and cohesion.
- Identify and lead on opportunities for further collaboration and integration with new partners that can enhance and/or extend our community offer and to for the mutual benefit of each.
- Establish or strengthen good working relationships between the staff teams to further the job purpose and bring in other members of staff, trustees or volunteers to inform and include them about this work.
- To support the CEO, Head of Services and staff to develop joined up services supporting the development and delivery of the organisation's overall outcomes.
- To support the Community Hub build partnerships to deliver meaningful activities and events for and with the community as well as support the running of the space.
- To support in the delivery of groups, activities and events promoting partnership work and community engagement and championing community voice.
- To act as a critical friend in partnerships, identifying opportunities to bring more impactful benefit for the communities the organisations serve.
- To at all times be aware of the different operational capacities of partners and the organisation, encouraging the sharing of systems or practices which would be beneficial to achieving the purpose of the work.
- With the support of the CEO and Head of Services highlight, discuss and support any changes to either the organisation or partners practice to support efficient service delivery and build meaningful narration of services impact.
- To support and enable collaboration with other partners or prospective partners as directed by the CEO/Head of Services.
- To create systems and practices for this work to continue into the future so that the partnerships are set up for long-term arrangement.
- To work with Wellspring Settlements Communications Manager and outreach workers to ensure work is communicated well externally and internally.
- To be sensitive to the needs of organisations undergoing change and to ensuring that the relevant EDI standards and policies and procedures are in place so this is an equitable process.
- Where appropriate, contribute to the process of applications for funding.

- To be aware of other Wellspring Settlement and local services, to refer people to the appropriate groups, services and opportunities.

- Use autonomy and creativity to make and implement decisions commensurate with role and seniority.
General Duties
- To prepare, attend and actively participate in regular supervision sessions including engaging in the monitoring and review of performance targets.
- To work within the policies and procedures of Wellspring Settlement and attend appropriate team meetings, training events and staff development days.
- To communicate with staff, volunteers, service users and partners in a positive and effective manner.
- To be familiar with and work within IT systems, policies and procedures and risk assessments and ensure that you are using them to support your work.
- At all times to work within and actively promote the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy of the Settlement.
- At all times to be aware of the health and safety of colleagues, users, local people and self and to work within the health and safety policies of the Settlement.
- Work flexibly in terms of responsibilities and working hours as required and by mutual agreement, including occasional evening and weekend work, carrying out any duties as they arise which are consistent with the general character of the post.
