Senior Chartered Estates Surveyor
Location: Exeter
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Are you an experienced Chartered Estates Surveyor looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading property consultancy team delivering professional estate management and valuation services across the South West. With a strong forward order book and varied projects, you'll play a key role in shaping property strategies for public sector and local authority clients.
What You'll Do
- Manage property acquisitions and disposals, including negotiation and compulsory purchase.
- Handle leases, tenancies, licences, easements, and other property interests.
- Oversee rent reviews, assignments, sub-lettings, and dilapidations.
- Conduct valuations for insurance, capital, rental, and accounting purposes.
- Prepare project estimates, appraisals, and planning applications.
- Represent clients at inquiries, tribunals, appeals, and arbitration.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Degree or equivalent in an estates-related discipline.
- Strong legal knowledge of landlord and tenant law, compulsory purchase, and valuation techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health and safety legislation.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Extensive experience in a similar role with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
