Here at Suma we’ve been doing things a bit differently for over 40 years. Not only in our mission to supply everything vegetarian, ethical and sustainable, but also in how we run our successful business.
Suma is a worker co-operative; a business owned and run by nearly 200 members who work here. We’re a group of ordinary people who have built a business on principles of integrity and equality. Suma workers work together collectively to set the direction of the business - there are no shareholders and no traditional ‘bosses’. Everyone at Suma gets paid the same wage, takes personal and equal responsibility.
Suma strongly encourages applications for this role from all potential candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, ability or gender identity. We interact with many people each day which is why having diverse talent and being a co-op where colleagues feel included is important to us. Embedding an inclusive mindset in everything we do is a priority at Suma. If you may need any support / personalisation during our application process we are happy to do so to make this process as accessible as possible.
