We are a public corporation, sponsored by the Secretary of State for Defence, formed in 1986 by virtue of the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985. Our department sponsor is a member of the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
We are responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of 6 Naval Oil Fuel Depots (OFDs) and 1 Petroleum Storage Depot on behalf of the Secretary of State for Defence.

- We are looking for candidates who are willing to be trained to become qualified AP’s (Authorised Persons) to ensure OPA’s Control of Works obligations are carried out, in compliance with the OPA’s written permit procedure.
- Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and supply of middle distillate fuels for supply to HM Navy and other OPA customers, and normal day to day OFD support operations.
- Experience in hazardous operations, possibly in a COMAH regulated environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as you will receive extensive training in all aspects of the role, including accredited Bulk Liquid Operations training (both on-site and residential) response.

- We are looking to appoint an additional Operations Trainer/Assessor to develop, implement, and deliver learning, training, assessment, development activities, and programmes covering all roles within OPA sites.
- The role will require the post holder to support the Competence Assurance Manager / Human Resources Director with the ongoing implementation and expansion of the Competence Management System.
- You’ll need to be an experienced Operations Trainer / Assessor, holding a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification in Training & Development.

- We are looking to appoint an EC&I Technician to take responsibility, for all reactive and preventative maintenance across a variety of critical equipment.
- The successful post holder will ensure that all aspects of work are executed on time and in full compliance with company standards and UK / European legislation, and provide first line maintenance of the BPCS (Basic Process Control System) and associated equipment.
- Any skills gap training will be provided to the successful candidate.
