We are currently recruiting Butchers to join our Boning Hall team at ABP Langport. This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking and reliable individuals looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced food production environment.

Butchers are provided with an extended four-day weekend every five weeks as part of the working schedule.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our busy Boning Hall Team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, where you'll play an important part in delivering quality products to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting, trimming and preparing meat to specification

Using knives and production equipment safely and efficiently

Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

Inspecting products for quality and reporting any issues

Working as part of a team to meet production targets and customer requirements

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills and a flexible approach to work
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Previous butchery or meat-processing experience is advantageous

Full training will be provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience.

Schedule:

Day Shift Schedule

• Working Days: 4 days per week
• Shift Hours: 06:00 - finish
• Rolling Rest Day: One weekday off, rotating Monday through Friday

Example Rotation:

• Week 1: Monday - Rest Day
• Week 2: Tuesday - Rest Day
• Week 3: Wednesday - Rest Day
• Week 4: Thursday - Rest Day
• Week 5: Friday - Rest Day
