£40,000-£50,000 DOE | Poole, Dorset | Monday-Friday with an early finish Friday.

We’re looking for a proactive Quality Lead / Senior Quality Engineer to take ownership of the site’s quality function, combining hands-on engineering expertise with the opportunity to lead people, strengthen quality systems and drive meaningful improvements across the business.

This is much more than a traditional quality assurance role. You’ll have the opportunity to identify areas for improvement, solve technical quality issues and work closely with colleagues across the business to maintain high standards and continually improve performance.

The Opportunity

You’ll take a key role in supporting and developing the site’s quality function, ensuring robust processes are maintained while helping drive continuous improvement throughout the operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and continually improving the site’s Quality Management System.
• Supporting compliance with relevant customer, industry and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing for and supporting internal and external quality audits.
• Managing quality issues, non-conformances and corrective actions through to effective resolution.
• Supporting the development and implementation of preventative measures to reduce recurring quality issues.
• Providing guidance and support to colleagues on quality-related matters.
• Coordinating day-to-day quality and inspection activities and helping to prioritise workload.
• Monitoring quality performance, identifying trends and providing relevant information to management.
• Supporting calibration and control of inspection and measurement equipment.
• Carrying out inspection and verification activities where required.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional requirements.
• Using a range of precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Supporting investigations into manufacturing and product-related quality issues.
• Working collaboratively with engineering, production and other internal teams to identify practical solutions.
• Helping to develop a positive and proactive quality culture across the business.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced quality professional who is confident working in a highly regulated and technically demanding manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience within a Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or Quality Lead position.
• Strong practical experience working to AS9100 standards
• Experience operating within a structured Quality Management System.
• A solid understanding of quality auditing, non-conformance management and corrective action processes.
• Experience supporting or leading internal and external audits.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
• Experience working with engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances.
• Practical experience with inspection and measurement equipment.
• Experience using metrology equipment, with CMM experience being advantageous.
• Previous experience supporting, mentoring or leading members of a quality or inspection team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify effective solutions.
