Digital Learning Resource Advisor

Are you passionate about helping students succeed? Enjoy working with people and creating welcoming, supportive learning environments? Join our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) team and help students develop the digital and independent learning skills they need to thrive at college and beyond.

What you'll be doing

• providing first-line support to students, staff and visitors within our Learning Resource Centres.
• promoting a range of online and physical LRC services, resources and learning opportunities.
• creating engaging learning resources that support study skills, digital skills and independent learning.
• delivering workshops and activities that help students develop their digital and independent learning skills.
• supporting students to make effective use of digital tools, technologies and learning resources.
• building positive relationships with curriculum teams to understand learner needs and promote relevant support and resources.
• helping to create welcoming, inclusive and productive learning environments across our LRC spaces.
• contributing to the smooth running of college and departmental activities and events, including occasional evening working.

What you'll need

• excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• confidence using digital technologies and troubleshooting common IT issues.
• the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• experience of supporting learners, delivering presentations, workshops or learning activities, or working in a customer-facing environment.
• enthusiasm for creating resources and helping others develop their skills and confidence.
