Breakfast Chef - Mornings / Daytimes | £13/hr + Bonuses | The Washington, Clifton, Bristol

Early riser? Love the quiet buzz of a well run kitchen before the city wakes up? We’re looking for a Breakfast Chef (full time) to join our team at The Washington - part of Bristol’s independent Quarter hospitality group in Clifton.

This mornings-only Breakfast Chef role offers part time hours (20 hours per week, worked over 5 mornings), perfect for an experienced chef who wants their late afternoons and evenings free or a chef just getting started who wants to gain some experience.

Key info for the Breakfast Chef position

• £13 per hour

• 20 hours per week, typically worked over 5 morning shifts

• Shifts start 6am weekdays / 7am weekends, finish by 10am weekdays / 11am weekends)

• Your shifts will fall on a rota basis, to include weekends on rotation.

• Based at The Washington on Saint Pauls Road, Clifton - just off the Clifton Triangle.

What you’ll be doing as Breakfast Chef

• Running the breakfast service at The Washington

• Preparing, cooking and plating classic fresh breakfasts to order - not a hot buffet

• Working as solo chef for the breakfast service, managing the cooking and prep independently, maintaining speed and quality

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next day's team

• Experience in similar environment or from college

• Strong cooking skills and consistency under pressure

• Reliability - you’ll open the kitchen and set the tone for the day

• Calm, organised and methodical approach

• Pride in presentation and food quality - every plate counts

This role is a great fit for chefs who value early starts, quality cooking and genuine autonomy - you’ll have the kitchen to yourself most mornings, but will need to work well with our small front of house team, so good teamworking and a friendly personality is a must.
