Bristol Zoological Society, the conservation and education charity that runs and operates Bristol Zoo Project, higher education programmes and conservation projects across the world, are recruiting seasonal Visitor Experience Hosts to help maintain our excellent visitor engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Visitor Experience team.

As a Visitor Experience Host you are the primary point of contact for our visitors, and we rely on you to:

  • Demonstrate your passion and pride as an ambassador for our well-loved organisation and conservation efforts and mission.
  • Provide an exceptional, engaging and enthusiastic service for all visitors and members of Bristol Zoo Project to ensure they have a memorable day out.
  • Work as part of the Visitor Experience team covering a multitude of visitor facing functions including retail, admissions, memberships, management of onsite visitor flow, car parks, amenities and grounds.

Applicants must have a friendly, professional manner and be ready to welcome guests to the attraction and inspire them with discoveries of wildlife and our onsite activities. All applicants must enjoy working outdoors whatever the weather, and be willing to support the team in extra duties. It is also essential that you are confident and courteous with visitor interaction.

With a new strategy in place to create a world-class Bristol Zoo and conservation and sustainability at its heart, the new Bristol Zoo Project will offer spacious, modern facilities, significant growth in our conservation and education work, and an innovative and exciting visitor experience. The role will help to realise our vision of saving wildlife together, and you will be involved in supporting our transformation programme – driving visitor numbers and excitement at Bristol Zoo Project as plans for the new Zoo progress.
