Job Description:
We are looking for a professional, reliable and customer-focused Bar Steward to join our team and provide an efficient, friendly and high-quality bar service to Mess Members and guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation. You will also have responsibility for the safe and accurate control of bar stock, cash and chit transactions, in line with company procedures.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide a professional, friendly and efficient bar service.
- Serve drinks accurately and maintain excellent customer service.
- Manage cash, chits, stock and bar records accurately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
- Restock the bar and assist with stocktaking and functions.
- Complete fridge temperature checks and follow cleaning schedules.
- Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
- Report any defects or concerns promptly to the Mess Manager.
- Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times.

- Must be 18 or older due to licensing regulations.

- Comfortable working in a busy customer-facing environment.
- Confident handling cash and following financial procedures.
- Organised and attentive to detail.
- Able to follow company procedures and instructions accurately.
- Committed to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- A good team player with strong communication skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Flexible and willing to support functions and other operational requirements.
