My client, a successful and well-established automotive business in Churt, is looking for an experienced vehicle technician to join their existing team.

My client is open to considering both service technicians and MOT tester / service technicians, with an enhanced package available for candidates holding an MOT licence.

The role

As a vehicle technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for the road.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
• Complete repairs to a high standard
• Carry out MOT testing where appropriately qualified
• Inspect vehicle systems and components
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely
• Work as part of an experienced and professional workshop team

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a vehicle technician
• Relevant automotive qualification, ideally Level 3
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• MOT tester qualification is desirable
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Professional, reliable and hardworking approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with every other Saturday required. Saturday working is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate plus bonus.
