We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Logistics Operative within our Construction Logistics Space (CLS) team at Hinkley Point C. We have day and night shifts available depending on your preference working on a 12 hour shift.

As a Logistics Operative, you will play a key role in providing support to logistics operations by assisting with the management of vehicle control access points (VCAPS). Once trained as a Traffic Marshal you will also support with vehicle manoeuvring in designated construction material delivery areas, and ensuring the safe use of pedestrian crossings for workers on site.

You will utilise electronic systems to ensure correct bookings are in place to allow access to construction delivery routes. You will have the ability to work with the blue and white-collar workforce, and form part of a great team.

The CPCS Traffic Marshal qualification, together with the associated HPC safety-critical medical assessment, is an essential requirement of the Logistics Operative role within the CLS team. Wilson James will fund up to two attempts to complete the required training during your probationary period.

If the qualification is not achieved, or if the outcome of the medical assessment indicates that the requirements of the role cannot be met, this may affect the successful completion of your probation. In such circumstances, Wilson James will review the available options, including consideration of suitable alternative roles within Wilson James at HPC where available and appropriate.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• CITB Operative H&S test (must be completed before the start date)
• Good IT skills

• You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and the required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
