Company overview
At Marshalls plc, we believe building tomorrow's world starts with what we can create together today. Since the 1890s, we've grown from a Yorkshire stone business into a leading UK manufacturer of building, roofing and landscaping solutions. Built on generations of expertise, we're known for quality, innovation and sustainability, helping our customers bring their vision to life and create places that work today and last for generations. Together, we're building tomorrow's world.
Marshalls Bricks & Masonry has been manufacturing and supplying high-quality brick, walling and masonry products for more than 100 years. Trusted by housebuilders, contractors, architects and merchants across the UK, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing excellence to deliver products that help shape the built environment.
Manufacturing is where our products come to life and where we deliver on our promise of quality, innovation and reliability. From producing industry-leading solutions to driving continuous improvement, our teams play a critical role in helping customers build with confidence and create places that last for generations.
We're now looking for a Production Operative to join our Grove site.
So what's the mission?
You’ll be joining our team on a permanent basis, helping to manufacture high quality Decorative Architectural Masonry and other concrete products to the required customer specifications. This is a hands on role involving manual handling and the use of powered hand tools, production machinery and mechanical handling equipment, so previous experience working in a similar manufacturing environment is essential. You’ll be used to working towards safety, quality, waste and OEE targets and understand the importance of keeping production running safely and efficiently. Full training will be provided, although some flexibility will be required during the training period.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring and optimising production machinery to help achieve production targets. You’ll carry out routine machine checks and minor adjustments, escalating equipment issues and working closely with our Engineering and Maintenance teams when needed. You’ll monitor product quality, accurately record production, downtime and waste data, and lead by example when it comes to Health & Safety. You’ll also get involved in Continuous Improvement projects to improve efficiency, quality and cost performance, as well as supporting the training and development of new team members.
