There are a number of fixed term posts of 37.5 hrs (5 days) available and will provide the applicant with excellent experience that is relevant to obtaining onward progression to Doctoral Clinical Psychology Training.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join our NDAC (Neurodevelopmental assessment and consultation)Team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), supporting children and young people through neurodevelopmental assessment pathways.
A key part of the role will be supporting the management of the ADHD and Autism waiting lists and the assessment pathway, including initial referrals, gathering and reviewing relevant information, monitoring young people’s progress through the pathway, and liaising with young people, families, carers and professionals.
Working under the supervision of qualified Clinical Psychologists and senior clinicians, you will also contribute to psychological and psychometric assessments, case management, clinical documentation and psychoeducational work.
We are looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Psychology graduate with excellent communication skills and an interest in developing their experience within CAMHS and neurodevelopmental services
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to join our Clinical Psychology Team which consists of four Clinical Psychologists, another Assistant Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and Admin support and an allied health professional team.
The post holder will work as part of the North Dorset AC CAMHS team, supporting young people and families accessing neurodevelopmental assessment pathways.
A key part of the role will be supporting the management and coordination of the ADHD waiting list, including processing initial referrals, gathering and reviewing relevant information, monitoring progress through the assessment pathway and liaising with young people, families, schools and other professionals.
The post holder will also support clinicians with psychological and psychometric assessments, case management, clinical documentation and follow-up work. The role will involve maintaining accurate and timely clinical records and contributing to audit, data collection, research and service development, with regular clinical supervision and opportunities for professional development.
Driving is a large part of this role, so full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
