We are looking for a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) to support our NIHR funded research project at Bournemouth University (BU) and join the DELTA (Digital, Economics, Data Linkage and Analytics) Core of the NIHR Maternity Disparities Consortium (MDC), a major UK-wide research programme aiming to reduce inequalities in maternal and neonatal outcomes.
The role will focus on the testing of an accessible, user-friendly digital language support tool within an intervention site to facilitate meaningful and informed conversations around interventions before and between pregnancies. The post holder will closely work with the Maternity Access, Communication and Experience (M-ACE) workstream which responds to growing evidence that poor access, communication and experience are both drivers and consequences of maternity disparities. M-ACE functions as a consortium-wide enabling workstream designed to strengthen equitable access, meaningful communication and positive experiences of care across the maternal and early life pathway, particularly among women, babies and families at greatest risk of poor outcomes.
