About the role
We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic Waking Night Health Care/Support Assistant to join the team at our new flagship home Spurfield House. .
No two nights are ever quite the same in a complex care setting, and the right candidate will be organised and confident in identifying each resident's needs, always promoting their independence and choice.
Full Description
What you'll be doing
- Support residents with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting up/dressed
- Help residents with evening routines, settling for bed, and getting up in the morning
- Respond to personal care needs, health needs or emergencies as they arise, including offering medication if trained to do so
- Stay awake, alert, and carry out regular night checks as required, recording these accurately
- Ensure each resident's room is clean, tidy and safe overnight
- Carry out domestic tasks between care duties, cleaning, laundry, ironing, updating records and preparing breakfast trays
- Follow all relevant policies and procedures, helping create a warm, pleasant atmosphere for residents and colleagues alike
