• Annual Salary: £220 - £240 per day
• Location: Bournemouth, South Coast
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (2 weeks until 19th September)

We are seeking an English Teacher for a temporary full-time position at our Poole campus. This role involves teaching GCSE resits and functional skills to 16-19 year olds and is crucial for continuing to provide high-quality education during the absence of a staff member.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons focused on GCSE resits and functional skills.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to the needs of students at various levels of proficiency.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and resources.
• Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in English.
• Experience teaching English at GCSE level or similar.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for GCSE English and functional skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Organisational skills to manage full-time teaching responsibilities effectively.
