Accounts Senior

Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for a role where your work is valued, your voice is heard and no two days are the same?

We're looking for a capable and motivated Accounts Senior to join our friendly, professional team. You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing accurate accounts and tax returns while building strong, trusted relationships.

The role

You'll manage your own client workload, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Preparing tax returns and tax calculations
• Reviewing and analysing clients' books and records
• Investigating and resolving queries with clients
• Processing and posting figures using VT Final Accounts
• Preparing accounts working papers and supporting schedules
• Preparing accounts for review by senior team members
• Managing your workflow to meet year-end and client deadlines
• Communicating professionally with clients and colleagues

What we're looking for

You'll be organised, diligent and confident communicating with both clients and colleagues. You should have:

- At least two years' experience in accounts preparation

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with VT Final Accounts or similar software

- ACCA or ACA part-qualified status is advantageous, but formal qualifications are not essential

• £30,000-£40,000 salary, depending on experience

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
