Langley is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Residential Night Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team at Langdon. This is a permanent, full-time position working a minimum of 37.5 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including weekends, and is accountable to the IAP Manager. You will work through the night as part of a team, supporting, guiding, advising and supervising clients residing at the IAP, monitoring and encouraging compliance, undertaking door duties and enforcing rules when necessary, with public protection at the core of all work carried out.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £27,879, recognising the value and impact of your work.

About the Role
- Work through the night as part of the IAP team, providing continuous support, guidance and supervision to clients while keeping public protection at the core of your work.
- Model pro-social behaviour and actively engage clients, including preparing supper and breakfast, to foster a positive culture of respect.
- Monitor and encourage compliance with rules, curfews, and drug and alcohol testing requirements, taking fair enforcement action when necessary.
- Maintain the health, safety, security, cleanliness and hygiene of the IAP through door duties, CCTV, direct observation, inspections, personal contact and appropriate information sharing.
- Keep clear, concise and contemporaneous records; provide administrative support; and ensure colleagues, managers and multi-agency partners are updated appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support sentence-plan delivery and purposeful activities with probation, police and other agencies; respond to emerging issues using initiative; administer naloxone or other medication as appropriate; and act as the Emergency First Aid Responder when required.
About You
- A respectful, pro-social and non-judgemental approach, with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage, guide and supervise clients while working effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
- Calm, resilient, observant and safety-focused, with the judgement to follow protocols, encourage compliance, take appropriate enforcement action and maintain client well-being and the safety, security, cleanliness and hygiene of the IAP.
- Accurate, organised, flexible and proactive, able to keep timely confidential records, work night shifts across a 7-day rota including weekends, respond to emerging issues, administer naloxone or other medication as appropriate, and act as the Emergency First Aid Responder when required.
