Job summary
To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Endoscopy Service, ensuring the efficient coordination of pre-assessment telephone clinic appointments and the timely processing of patient referrals. The post holder will manage referrals received through the NHS e-Referral Service (eRS), Direct to Test pathways, surveillance programmes, and rescope requests, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records on hospital information systems and spreadsheets. The role also involves handling telephone enquiries professionally, supporting the wider Endoscopy team with general administrative duties, and contributing to the smooth and effective delivery of patient services.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
Telephone patients to arrange pre-assessment clinic appointments before procedures.
Handle telephone enquiries from patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
Ensure surveillance patients receive health questionnaires at least three months before their planned procedure.
Add rescope and follow-up requests to the Endoscopy waiting lists
Process endoscopy referrals through NHS e-Referral Service (eRS)
