We are currently seeking a Operations Team Leader - Recycling & Refurbishment to join our Devon Community Equipment Service Centre. This is an exciting opportunity where you'll be working as part of engaged and motivated team, for a company committed to reward and recognition for a job well done. Millbrook Healthcare work in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day to day life.

The Operations Team Leader – Recycling and Refurbishment is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the refurbishment and decontamination function, ensuring all community equipment is cleaned, disinfected, refurbished, and released to service safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Millbrook Healthcare standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual SLAs.

The role focuses on people leadership, quality assurance, health & safety, and continuous improvement while maintaining high levels of productivity and service quality.

About the role:

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise refurbishment and decontamination operatives to achieve daily output, quality, and turnaround targets
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH, PPE requirements, manual handling, and safe systems of work
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Work closely with transport, stores, and repairs teams to ensure smooth end-to-end service delivery
  • Conduct routine quality checks and audits to ensure equipment is safe, clean, and fit for reuse


What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a refurbishment, decontamination, production, warehouse, or healthcare-related environment
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and infection control principles
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with the team and external suppliers
  • Hands-on leader with a proactive and “lead by example” approach
  • Hard working, driven and motivated
  • Proven ability to manage workloads, priorities, and people effectively
