Join Our Inclusive and Supportive SEND Team

We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate and professional SEND Administrator to join our dedicated Inclusion Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with the SENDCo, students, families and external agencies to ensure that every young person receives the support they need to succeed.

As the first point of contact for many parents and professionals, you will be central to the smooth running of SEND provision across the academy, helping to coordinate key processes, maintain accurate records and support statutory requirements including Annual Reviews, EHCP applications and referrals.

About the Role

As our SEND Administrator, you will:

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the SEND Team.
  • Coordinate SEND and inclusion meetings involving parents, staff and external professionals.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, carers and external agencies regarding SEND matters.
  • Support the administration of Annual Reviews, Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications and neurodiversity referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND records and the academy's SEND Register.
  • Monitor review cycles and documentation, ensuring Learning Support Profiles and Individual Healthcare Plans are reviewed and updated appropriately.
  • Support referrals to external agencies including CAMHS, Children's Services and other specialist support services.
  • Prepare reports, meeting documentation and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the administration of Examination Access Arrangements, working alongside the SENDCo and Exams Officer.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment where all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Is confident using ICT systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Builds positive and professional relationships with students, families, colleagues and external agencies.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism and safeguarding.
  • Is empathetic, approachable and committed to supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience working with children and young people with SEND, behavioural needs, mental health needs or physical disabilities would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?

At our academy, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a culture where every student feels valued, supported and able to thrive.

In return, we offer:

  • A welcoming and supportive team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • Excellent family-friendly policies.
  • Eight INSET days each year.
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people and their families.

If you are organised, caring and passionate about supporting students with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.

Join us and help ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential
