Summary

We are seeking a Graphic Designer / Estimator to join our team in Weymouth. This is a varied commercial role within a busy sign manufacturing business, rather than a conventional dedicated graphic design position.

Design is an important part of the role, but you will also be involved in processing enquiries, estimating and quoting, artwork and pre-production, customer liaison, purchasing, project management and seeing jobs through from initial enquiry to manufacture and installation.

The role would particularly suit someone who enjoys variety, is commercially minded and organised, and wants to develop a broad understanding of signage, print and physical production rather than concentrating solely on creative design.
Responsibilities

Process enquiries & incoming communications
Generate quotations using Clarity (our management information system)
Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and objectives.
Create visually appealing graphics for various signage applications.
Utilise Adobe Creative Suite to develop high-quality designs for production.
Create designs for vehicles, signs, logos, labels, stationery and all manner of varied and interesting projects.
Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and project specifications.
Purchasing, project management and account management.
Work closely with the production team to ensure feasibility of designs.
Stay updated on design trends and technologies to enhance creativity.
Present design concepts to clients for feedback and approval.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in PC Windows based platform.
Sign industry product knowledge (preferred)
Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work and creativity.
Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
