Would you like to work for a university steeped in history but focused on the future and recognised worldwide as a centre of excellence? An organisation that promotes a healthy work/life balance and recognises and rewards achievements? If so, then Norland is the place for you.

Norland is a world-renowned institution with over 130 years of expertise in early childhood education and care training. In addition to our prestigious degree and diploma programmes, Norland's Enterprise and Strategic Partnerships department delivers specialist advice, professional development and bespoke training solutions to governments, organisations and early childhood centres both in the UK and internationally.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic maternity cover Early Years Consultant and Trainer to join our Enterprise and Strategic Partnerships team to support the Head of Enterprise and Strategic Partnerships (ESP) in developing and delivering external consultancy, training and other commercial activities for a fixed term to cover maternity leave.

You will write, review and update early childhood curricula; assess provision and training against Norland's quality standards; and design and deliver outstanding training for clients in the UK and across the world. Your work will draw on deep expertise in the development, care and education of babies and young children from birth to three, while reflecting relevant international standards and emerging best practice.

You will be confident representing Norland in front of external clients. You will communicate complex ideas clearly, build strong relationships with people from different backgrounds and deliver training that is engaging, practical and responsive to each audience.

The successful candidate will hold at least a Level 6 Early Years qualification and have a strong record of continuing professional development. A relevant postgraduate degree or Norland training would be advantageous. You must have substantial practical experience of working with children from birth to three and their families, together with extensive post-qualification experience of writing and delivering high-quality early years training.

You will be a proactive, highly organised professional who can manage competing deadlines and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, a warm and approachable manner, and a flexible approach are essential. This role requires national and international travel and occasional weekends or unsocial working hours.
