We're looking for an experienced and passionate Project Lead - Animal Care to join our dedicated Animal Care team.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your knowledge of farm livestock and equine care with meaningful work supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to develop skills, confidence and independence through animal husbandry and care farming activities. Initially based at Grimsbury Farm, you'll work flexibly across our Bristol and South Gloucestershire farm sites, helping to lead day-to-day livestock operations while creating engaging, person-centred opportunities for the people we support.
Our Animal Care service operates across two farm sites and provides opportunities for training, employment and wellbeing for people with learning disabilities and autism. As Project Lead, you'll support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred animal care services while helping maintain high standards of animal welfare, land management and farm operations.
Working alongside the Animal Care Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring both farms remain productive, welcoming and supportive environments for animals, colleagues, visitors and the people we support.
We're looking for someone who:
? Has strong practical experience working with farm livestock and equines (essential)
? Has a sound understanding of animal health, welfare and husbandry
? Holds a Level 2 Animal Care qualification (or equivalent experience)
? Is confident working outdoors in a busy farm environment throughout the year
? Has experience supervising, mentoring or leading others
? Is passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
? Has excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
? Can work flexibly across multiple sites as required
