Care Assistant

About the Role

Care Connection, a specialist division of The Best Connection, is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Residential Care Workers to support our key healthcare clients across Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

In this role, you will work within various health and social care settings, supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives while covering planned rotas, holiday cover, and short-notice staffing needs. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care aligned directly with individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with morning and evening routines.
• Personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assisting with mealtimes and preparing food/drinks.
• Supporting with general domestic duties and light household tasks.
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date record keeping and shift logs.
• Providing compassionate companionship and continuous professional support.
• Manual handing with hoists

Shift Details

• Day Shifts: can vary between 0700-2200.
• Flexibility: Pick and choose your shifts around your weekly availability.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a social care, residential, or domiciliary care setting.
• A compassionate, reliable, and adaptable "can-do" attitude.
• Ability to follow care plans strictly to ensure health, safety, and client comfort.
• Right to Work in the UK (Please note: We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position).
