We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at Wood House. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team and make a genuine difference to the lives of our Service users every single day.

The Role

As Residential Deputy Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the successful day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional care, develop high-performing teams and ensure residents receive the very best support.

You'll lead by example, promote a culture of kindness and respect, and help create a home where residents, families and colleagues all feel valued.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.

  • Leading, motivating and mentoring care teams to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

  • Developing, reviewing and monitoring personalised care plans.

  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding and best practice.

  • Supporting recruitment, supervision, coaching and staff development.

  • Driving continuous improvement through quality assurance and clinical governance.

  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals

  • Maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-managed home environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above).

  • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or senior leadership role within residential care.

  • Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.

  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care and current CQC/CIW standards.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
