The Role

As Day Shift Supervisor, you’ll work closely with the Shift Manager to ensure the smooth running of the operation, leading and supporting our frontline teams across the depot.

You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day performance, making sure parcels move through the operation safely and efficiently while maintaining strong standards across service, productivity and compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for motivating your team, managing performance and making sure the shift delivers against its operational targets.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of frontline colleagues across the shift.

  • Ensure operational targets and SLAs are achieved.

  • Monitor performance and take action where improvements are needed.

  • Coach and develop colleagues to build a high-performing team.

  • Ensure compliance with site Health, Safety, Environment and Security requirements.

  • Use BI and MI reporting to monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Support effective resource planning to meet changing operational volumes.

  • Manage priorities, deadlines and operational challenges throughout the shift.

  • Work closely with the wider Depot Management team to maintain service and operational standards.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is confident leading people in a fast-paced environment and comfortable taking ownership of shift performance.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience leading or managing a team.

  • The ability to motivate, coach and manage performance effectively.

  • Experience within logistics, warehousing, distribution or a similarly fast-paced operation would be advantageous.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Confidence working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • An understanding of transport regulations would be advantageous.

  • A flexible approach to meet the needs of the operation.

This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your operational leadership career, with plenty of opportunity to develop and progress within both the depot and the wider Evri business.
