Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3 - Apple Blossom Day Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Apple Blossom Day Nursery as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desired but not essential
  • You must be able to obtain a clear DBS
  • GCSE – English and Maths C/4 or above/ Functional Skills
  • Being able to drive would be beneficial due to the location of the setting or you would need to be sure you can locate the setting as this is not on a public footpath.

Apple Blossom Day Nursery is a friendly and caring family run nursery, having excellent facilities both inside and outside. Situated in the rural areas in Exeter, Whimple, the nursery cares for children from 0 - 5 years old.
The setting has also been established for a successful 23 years, running 2 rooms and a range of safe and fun activities for children to enjoy outdoors.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your roles and responsibilities would include:

  • Supporting children with personal care
  • Supporting with feeding and snacks
  • Preparing activities for the children
  • Participating in activities with the children
  • Helping with messy play
  • Working with other team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
  • Must be willing to get involved
  • Adhering to safeguarding procedures
  • Keeping the children safe at all times
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Observing children Interacting with parents

Hours:

  • This position is 52 weeks per year, working hours will be a minimum of 30 hours per week with flexible shifts to be discussed between the nursery’s opening hours of 7.45am and 18.00pm
