About the job role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator in our Volunteers team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration and supporting the public and working in a charity environment. The Coordinator role will involve onboarding all new volunteers from recruitment to completion, providing a comprehensive and high-quality support service to teams and volunteers across the Hospice.


About you


  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people from wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent IT Skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases & Internet
  • PR and presentation skills e.g. ability to present Dept. at Induction training and meetings
  • Understanding and appreciation of the reasons why people volunteer.
