Groundworks Gang - Chard TA20

MadiganGill are looking for a 3-man Groundworks Gang for approximately 4 weeks of work in Chard, TA20.

The works will involve the excavation and installation of a feeder pillar and approximately 50 metres of electric ducting within a footway, followed by the required reinstatement works.

At least half of the excavation will be very tight for space, requiring air lance/pick work and hand excavation, so all members of the gang must be comfortable working on the ground as well as operating machinery where required.

Gang Requirements:

• 1.6T Excavator Operator - must be willing to get out of the machine and work with the gang on the ground
• Dumper Driver - must hold a full UK driving licence to operate the dumper on the highway
• Labourer / Groundworker - experienced in groundworks and excavation

Working Hours:

Wednesday 9th September - Wednesday 16th September

• Daytime working
• Unrestricted daytime lane closure
• Pedestrian diversion
• 07:30 - 17:00

Wednesday 16th September - Tuesday 6th October

• Evening / twilight working
• 4-way temporary traffic lights
• 18:30 - 23:30

Requirements:

• Relevant groundworks experience
• Experience with excavation, ducting and reinstatement
• Comfortable with hand excavation and air lance/pick work
• Ability to work safely around live traffic
• Reliable and able to work as part of a 3-man gang
• Relevant CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operators
• Dumper driver must hold a full UK driving licence
