Teacher of Mathematics - Part time

About The Role

Plymouth High School for Girls is seeking to appoint a committed and dedicated part-time Teacher of Mathematics to join our team on a fixed term basis from January 2027.

In this role, you will plan, implement and deliver a broad, balanced and engaging Mathematics curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. You will design lessons that are relevant, challenging and appropriately differentiated, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive and make strong progress. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will play an active part in supporting a designated curriculum area, contributing to its ongoing development and success.

Working pattern:

• 15 hours of teaching over a 2-week timetable
• Part and full days ranging from 3-hour blocks of work to full days. Work commitments are limited to Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only
• No work responsibilities on any Monday or Tuesday

Teaching requirements:

• Key stage 3 teaching of Mathematics and pastoral morning duties

About You:

• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
• Committed to high standards and raising achievement for all students
• Keen to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
• A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with young people, colleagues and families

This role is fixed term until 31/08/2027.
