People Lead (Maternity Cover)

Join a values-driven educational organisation in an exciting opportunity as a People Lead. This dual-site role provides essential HR support and administration across two educational settings. We are seeking a proactive, organised, and people-focused HR professional who can build strong relationships, support managers and employees, and help deliver an excellent employee experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate interviews, support recruitment campaigns, induction processes, and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, manage the Single Central Record (SCR), support payroll administration, and produce HR reports and compliance information.
- Employee Relations Support: Provide first-line guidance on HR policies and procedures, assist with low-level employee relations matters, and maintain confidential case records.
- Stakeholder Support: Build positive working relationships with staff and managers, act as a trusted point of contact for HR queries, and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience within an HR administration role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Competent IT and systems skills.
- Desirable: CIPD Level 5 qualification or experience in an educational environment.
