A leading, award-winning planning and design practice is looking to appoint a Town Planning Consultant to join its growing team in Bristol. The practice works across a broad range of sectors and scales, helping to deliver new communities, regenerate towns and cities, and support the infrastructure needed for sustainable economic growth and climate resilience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planning projects across varied sectors.
• Prepare planning applications and strategies.
• Undertake policy research and site appraisals.
• Support planning committees, appeals and hearings.
• Manage projects, programmes and budgets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide clear planning advice and reports.
• Support bids, tenders and business development.

Requirements

• Relevant planning degree and postgraduate qualification.
• Sufficient UK planning experience.
• Working towards or holding MRTPI.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Interest in placemaking and sustainable development.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisation and project management skills.
• Collaborative and proactive approach.
