Location: Covering Swindon, Bristol, Gloucester, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas

We are seeking a Mobile Gas Engineer to provide commercial gas, heating, combustion, and building services maintenance across a variety of client properties within the designated region.

The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, and installation works across commercial, domestic gas, and HVAC systems.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and customer-focused engineer with strong experience in facilities management or building services environments.

This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, compliance, client liaison, and the delivery of high-quality engineering services to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial combustion, heating, gas, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on plant and systems, including basic electrical fault finding.
• Undertake commercial and domestic gas servicing, repairs, and installation works.
• Complete general building services maintenance tasks, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric-related works.
• Participate in the call-out rota and provide timely emergency response when required.
• Monitor contractors, issue Permits to Work, and ensure workmanship meets required standards.
• Maintain plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, COSHH requirements, and industry regulations.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Skills & Experience

• Experience completing PPMs within facilities management or building services environments.
• Experience carrying out weekly and monthly PPMs across a variety of commercial properties.
• Experience in reactive and planned building services maintenance.
• Knowledge of commercial gas, heating, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working under strict health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
• Strong customer service and client liaison skills.
• Ability to complete administration and maintenance records accurately and on time.

Commercial Gas Qualifications

• COCN1 or CODNC1
• TPCP1A
• ICPN1
• CORT1
• CIGA1

Domestic Gas Qualifications

• CCN1
• CENWAT1
• CPA1

Additional Requirements

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or a related Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Gas Safe Registered.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
