Data & Insights Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Data & Insights Analyst to join a growing organisation in a fully remote role, helping turn complex operational data into clear insights that improve performance, customer experience and business decision making.

This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data but is equally comfortable working with stakeholders, understanding business problems and presenting recommendations that lead to genuine improvements.

You will work with large datasets from multiple sources, identifying trends, developing dashboards and reporting, supporting forecasting and helping the business understand where changes can improve efficiency, customer experience and commercial performance.

What you will be doing

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement
• Use SQL to combine and interrogate data from multiple sources
• Develop dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
• Analyse operational and customer performance data and translate findings into practical recommendations
• Identify the reasons behind customer demand and recurring issues, helping teams understand and address root causes
• Support demand forecasting, capacity planning and operational decision making
• Assess the impact of new processes, systems and technology using data before and after implementation
• Develop cost and benefit analysis to support business cases and proposed changes
• Identify opportunities to automate data collection, cleansing, reporting and visualisation
• Work closely with operational, product and technology teams
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management
• Help turn complex analysis into straightforward information that teams can act upon
• Ensure recommendations consider customer experience, efficiency, cost and commercial impact

What we are looking for

You should have at least two years' commercial experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a closely related role, together with:

• Strong SQL skills, including experience combining complex datasets from multiple sources
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or another comparable data visualisation platform
• Experience designing effective dashboards and reports
• Experience working with Salesforce
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience handling large datasets
• The ability to translate business requirements into meaningful analysis and visualisations
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• A commercial approach to data and the ability to explain what the numbers mean for the business

Experience within operational or customer-focused analytics would be particularly useful.

Additional experience with Python or R, data engineering processes, Jira, statistical analysis, forecasting or advanced Salesforce would also be beneficial but is not essential.

The role

This is a fully remote UK position with occasional travel to company offices when required.

Salary: Up to £50,000
