Job Title: PSHE Lead
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard, Somerset, TA20 3AJ
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday – Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
At 3 Dimensions School, we're looking for an inspiring PSHE & RSHE Lead to champion a curriculum that has a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with SEND.
This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in shaping and delivering an ambitious Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) and Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum that promotes wellbeing, independence, safety and positive life outcomes. Working closely with our safeguarding, therapy and education teams, you'll play a vital role in preparing pupils for adulthood while ensuring every learner feels understood, valued and empowered.
Please note this role is required between both 3 Dimensions sites at TA20 3AJ & TA20 1PB.
What You’ll Do
- Leading the development, implementation and evaluation of PSHE and RSHE across the school.
- Designing an engaging and accessible curriculum from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5.
- Ensuring PSHE and RSHE supports safeguarding priorities, pupil wellbeing and Preparation for Adulthood outcomes.
- Delivering high-quality lessons and modelling outstanding practice.
- Supporting and coaching colleagues to build confidence in delivering sensitive and important topics.
- Monitoring curriculum quality and impact through observations, learning walks and pupil voice activities.
- Working collaboratively with safeguarding leaders, therapists, teachers and families.
- Promoting a culture of inclusion, respect, wellbeing and positive relationships throughout the school.
Who We’re Looking For
We're seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable professional who understands the power of PSHE and RSHE in helping young people succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
- Educated to Level 3 or above in Education, Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth Work or a related field.
- GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching PSHE and/or RSHE.
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
- Curriculum development or subject leadership experience.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and statutory RSHE requirements.
- Knowledge of neurodiversity, EHCP outcomes and Preparation for Adulthood pathways.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to inspire colleagues and create engaging learning experiences for pupils.
- Driving licence is required
