About the Role
We're looking for an exceptional SEN Teacher who is passionate about making a real difference and believes every child deserves the chance to thrive. If you're driven by the opportunity to inspire, nurture and transform young lives, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
Working with students with a range of additional needs, you'll create engaging, personalised learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence and help every child achieve their potential. You'll recognise each student's unique strengths, celebrate every success and adapt your teaching to support meaningful progress both in and beyond the classroom.
This is more than a teaching role. It's a unique opportunity to help shape a new school from the ground up. As a key member of our founding team, you'll have the chance to influence the curriculum, contribute to the school's vision and culture, and help create an inclusive environment where every young person feels valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
If you're looking for a role where your passion, creativity and expertise can truly change lives, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For
About Us
Avonside School is a brand-new specialist school in Bristol for young people with SEMH, autism, and associated needs. We provide a supportive environment prioritising wellbeing, personal growth, and academic progress.
Our curriculum offers hands-on vocational pathways in construction, hair and beauty, hospitality, art and IT, building practical skills and independence. We empower every student to gain confidence, resilience, and the skills needed for further education, employment, and adult life.
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
Why Join Us?
We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
OFG Education is committed to carrying out a fair, thorough and efficient recruitment process in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. Whilst we aim to keep applicants informed throughout, OFG Education does not accept liability for any loss of earnings or other associated costs incurred by applicants as a result of delays or changes in the compliance process.
