SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Salary: £95-£100 per day

Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions and create a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence.
• Work alongside teaching staff to adapt learning activities where required.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and resilient nature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives.
