Food & Beverage Assistant (Part Time)

Hillier Garden Centre at Bath is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Garden Centre Assistant (Food & Beverage) to join our team.

Working within our restaurant, you'll help create a welcoming experience for customers by serving food and drinks, preparing hot beverages and maintaining high standards of customer service.

This is a permanent role with guaranteed shifts of either 6 or 14 hours per week, worked on a rota basis, including some weekend working. Additional hours are regularly available during peak trading periods, so we are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility to increase their working hours when required.

Hourly rate of pay up to £12.71 per hour. Actual pay will be determined in line with National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Providing excellent customer service.
• Preparing and serving food and drinks.
• Making hot beverages, including coffee.
• Handling customer queries and payments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.
• Clearing and cleaning customer areas.
• Replenishing stock and displays.
• Supporting seasonal promotions and events.

• Flexible and willing to support different areas of the business.
• Previous hospitality, catering, retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
