About the Role

JMC Aviation is recruiting for a part-time Inventory Operator to join our aviation client in Barry, South Wales.

You will provide a materials and tooling service to support aircraft maintenance, including inspecting, receiving, storing and issuing materials. You will help ensure production teams have the tools, equipment and supplies they need when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and issue materials and tools in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver materials to the required production areas.
  • Process returned materials and tools, ensuring correct packaging and accurate system transactions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within SAP and CribMaster.
  • Carry out regular stock counts, inspections and audits.
  • Pick materials against picking lists and replenish free-issue racks.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised and efficient stores environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other departments as required.
  • Follow all applicable safety, security, airworthiness and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous stores experience within a regulated environment.
  • A minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths, or demonstrable relevant experience within an aircraft environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP materials transactions.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines and use your own initiative.
  • Clear communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
  • A strong commitment to safety, compliance and following procedures.

Desirable:

  • A relevant stores qualification.
