About the role
Job description
Help us keep Cheltenham’s communities clean, safe and welcoming. We’re looking for a practical, reliable Estate Operative to join our Housing Services team and make a real difference to residents every day.
What you’ll do
- Clean communal areas across our flats
- Carry out carpet, window and food waste bin cleaning
- Remove fly tipping and waste that poses fire risks
- Test and record monthly emergency lighting checks
- Report hazards, defects and tenancy breaches
- Use a PDA to record jobs, evidence and vehicle checks
- Work safely with waste, sharps and equipment
What you’ll bring
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience with manual handling
- Confidence working indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- Accuracy when recording information
- Awareness of Health & Safety and safeguarding
Experience in cleaning or relevant training is helpful but not essential.
