Since 1985, we have been supporting individuals and families through some of the most significant journeys of their lives — combining world-class clinical expertise with genuine human care. Everything we do is driven by a shared purpose: helping people build the families they dream of.

About the Role

As a Receptionist at JD Healthcare, you will be the first point of contact for our patients — setting the tone for their entire experience from the moment they arrive. This is a busy, varied and genuinely rewarding role that sits at the heart of clinic life. You will manage appointments, handle patient enquiries, process payments and ensure the front-of-house environment is welcoming, organised and running smoothly at all times. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, your contribution will be felt by every patient who walks through our doors. If you are warm, professional and passionate about delivering an outstanding experience, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, meeting and greeting patients and ensuring they are seen promptly and made to feel at ease

  • Manage appointment scheduling systems, ensuring all bookings are accurate, up to date and patient pathways are correctly followed

  • Handle patient enquiries, general queries, follow-up communications and incoming calls with professionalism and care

  • Process patient payments accurately and maintain records of transactions including PDQ receipts and end-of-day financial reporting

  • Register new patients on internal systems and relevant portals including PRISM and HFEA

  • Ensure the reception, waiting areas and consulting rooms are clean, organised and fully stocked at all times

  • Oversee stock control for clinical consumables and office supplies, ensuring timely ordering through internal systems

  • Support the coordination of clinic events such as open days, working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery (occasional weekend or bank holiday cover may be required)

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional and patient-centred approach

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), patient management systems, CRM platforms and electronic medical records (EMR)

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accuracy under pressure

  • Friendly, empathetic and responsive manner with a genuine commitment to delivering an outstanding patient experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, clinic coordinator or healthcare administrative role

  • Experience in a patient-facing or customer service environment

  • Experience supporting clinical or nursing teams

  • Exposure to private healthcare, fertility or women's health clinics

  • Strong IT literacy with experience using booking systems, CRMs or patient databases

What We Offer

  • 32 days annual leave including bank holidays

  • Life assurance

  • Pension plan

  • Workplace Nursery Scheme

  • MyGym discounts

  • Staff treatment discounts

  • EV Car Scheme and Cycle2Work

  • Perkbox benefits platform
