Are you an experienced NHS Pathways professional with a passion for developing others? We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable NHS Pathways Operational Trainer to join our growing 111 Training Team in Exeter.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accredited NHS Pathways Trainer or an experienced Health Advisor to play a key role in developing Health Advisors and Clinical Advisors, supporting new starters, and ensuring colleagues have the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding patient care.


What you'll be doing

Working alongside the Senior Operational Trainer and a network of Clinical and Operational Trainers, you will:

  • Deliver NHS Pathways Core Module 1, Adastra and bespoke training programmes.
  • Support new starters throughout induction and Foundation Bay.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, providing constructive developmental feedback.
  • Deliver pathway release training, technical training and soft skills workshops.
  • Monitor competency levels and implement development plans where required.
  • Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
  • Support quality assurance processes and maintain NHS Pathways competency standards.
  • Occasionally travel to other sites to deliver training across the network.


What we’ll look for in you

  • Accredited NHS Pathways Trainer
  • Minimum 6 months' NHS Pathways call handling experience
  • Strong understanding of both Call Handler and Clinician roles
  • Experience delivering engaging training sessions
  • Advanced facilitation and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and challenge poor practice professionally
  • Positive, flexible and proactive approach to work

Desirable

  • CIPD Learning & Development Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting learner development and performance improvement
  • Basic Life Support Trainer qualification or willingness to undertake training
