The role
A Centre Assistant within the SEH department is a vital role. It is the beginning of the road to a career in sports and leisure. A Centre Assistant works with Centre Supervisors to provide excellent customer service, guidance, and support to those using the facilities, ensuring that recreational areas are prepared by setting up and taking down equipment, cleaning, reporting maintenance issues to supervisors, and creating a safe environment for all. It is a great opportunity to learn and grow, not only within sport but also as a gateway to development opportunities within the University of Bristol.
What will you be doing?
> Supporting the Supervising team in day to day running of the facilities.
> Setting up/down sports equipment, performing cleaning duties and maintenance/lost property
> Providing guidance, information and a first point of contact for Students, coaches, public members.
> Providing a positive, friendly and safe environment for everyone using the Sports Centre

> Basic knowledge of Sports and recreation

> A passion in teamwork, supporting others and going the extra mile to problem solve
> Drive to learn new skills and develop in area such as safety, first aid, facility maintenance and admin

Work pattern: Part time, 10 hours

Salary: £23,742 per annum pro rata
