Youth Development Worker (West)

£31,579 per annum (£36,842 FTE) 

Quakers in Britain is looking for someone who's friendly and self-motivated with experience of working with children, young people and families, to support Quaker communities in the west of England.  

This role will work with Quakers in the region and the relevant local development workers to grow connections and opportunities for children, young people and families as part of loving, inclusive and all-age communities. It will also work with the Bristol Peaceful Schools group to expand their peace education and peer mediation work in primary schools.  

To deliver this work you will need to be enthusiastic, organised and adaptable, with good communication and planning skills, and knowledge of Quaker beliefs and practices, including Quaker decision making, culture and structures. 

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week. 

Contract: Permanent (with 3 years funding initially). 

Location: Based at home with work across the region as needed.
