About WMC/Our Department:
The Assistant Producer, Annwn Prize - the world’s first global award dedicated to immersive storytelling supports the development, planning, and delivery of the prize in its second year. Working closely with producers, studios, artists, and partners, the role will concentrate on providing administrative support to the delivery of the Annwn Prize.
We are committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our communities and champions inclusive practice. The Assistant Producer will be expected to uphold our values of creativity, collaboration, and care in all aspects of their work.
About the Role and Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Prize Executive Producers, Producers, artists, studios, partners and internal teams, you will help coordinate schedules, travel, contracts, invoices and other administrative tasks. You will act as a key point of contact for artists, partners and staff delivering the experiences, helping to ensure clear communication, smooth operations and timely problem-solving.
Over the next 12 months, you will contribute to the effective delivery, production and aftermath of the Prize by supporting risk assessments, staff training, audience engagement activity, access and inclusion initiatives, and the development of the winner’s residency programme. You will also assist with budget tracking, gathering feedback and evaluation data, and contributing to post-project reviews. This is a hands-on opportunity to build strong relationships across departments and with external collaborators, while developing your producing skills within a creative, ambitious and inclusive arts environment, whilst also being a part of the first global award for immersive storytelling.
Your role will be subject to a basic DBS check. You will be expected to work on site for the majority, with the opportunity to work from home occasionally. Working hours will become more flexible as we move closer to the exhibition opening.
Key Requirements:
We are looking for a highly organised Assistant Producer with excellent administrative and communicative skills. We expect you to share the passion and interest for art, technology and storytelling that the team does and be a brilliant team player. The Assistant Producer will have a strong track record of working with artists/creatives/studios and be enthusiastic about working on pioneering programmes and projects such as the Annwn Prize. We look forward to welcoming an individual who has a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in the arts and the strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
We make all sorts of work and we want all sorts of people to work with us. We’d love you to explore the range of opportunities that are available.
We want Wales Millennium Centre to be a home for all – embracing and involving everyone, irrespective of differences, for who they are as an individual.
