We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Group Interventions Worker to join our Women's Community Services team in Bristol. Working as part of the Horizons Bristol drug and alcohol service, you will facilitate engaging group interventions, provide holistic support to women experiencing multiple and complex needs and help them achieve their personal goals through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required)
Location: Bristol Women's Centre and partner sites across Bristol

What will you do?

• Deliver psychosocial group interventions and practical support for women affected by substance use and multiple disadvantage
• Facilitate trauma-informed groups focused on recovery, wellbeing, safety, abuse awareness and personal development
• Carry out holistic needs assessments and support women to access appropriate services and opportunities
• Advocate for women and encourage engagement in recovery plans and activities that support positive outcomes
• Work collaboratively with keyworkers and partner agencies to coordinate effective support and intervention programme
• Maintain accurate records, monitor progress and contribute to the ongoing development of the service

What we are looking for

• A full UK driving licence is desirable, as the role involves regular travel between the Bristol Women's Centre and partner sites
• Experience facilitating groupwork or delivering interventions to groups of people
• Knowledge of women's multiple and complex needs, including substance use and domestic abuse
• A strong commitment to trauma-informed, holistic and strengths-based ways of working.
• Ability to engage and build positive relationships with women who may find it difficult to access support services
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of professionals and stakeholders
• Good administrative and IT skills, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and professional development
