Perinatal Mental Health Keyworker (Female Only)

The Nelson Trust is a charity dedicated to supporting people whose lives have been affected by addiction, trauma, abuse and multiple disadvantages. Through our women-centred services, we empower women to make positive changes and build brighter futures.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Perinatal Mental Health Keyworker to join our Wiltshire Outreach team. This rewarding role will provide intensive, trauma-informed support to women experiencing multiple and complex needs during pregnancy and up to two years after birth. Working closely with statutory and voluntary sector partners, you will help women improve their wellbeing, access services and achieve positive outcomes for themselves and their families.

Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility required to work outside normal working hours when needed)
Location: Wiltshire Outreach (with travel across Wiltshire and work from satellite locations as required)

What will you do

• Provide one-to-one practical and emotional support to women experiencing multiple and complex needs during the perinatal period
• Complete holistic assessments and develop personalised, gender-responsive support plans
• Manage a caseload of women, providing ongoing keywork and case management support.
• Advocate for women and support them to engage with health, social care, housing and other relevant services
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support and attend multi-agency meetings
• Facilitate group interventions and contribute to the ongoing development of the service

What we are looking for

• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across the county
• Experience of supporting women with multiple and complex needs
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and gender-specific challenges affecting women
• Knowledge of perinatal mental health, safeguarding, and the needs of mothers and families
• Strong case management, communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records
